We will be discussing a lot of things at your conference, and most importantly checking in on your scholars progress so far this year! Let's move on! Dividing decimals is just like long division, again you just need to move the decimal point in order to complete the problem. Take a look as Khan Academy walks you through it. Our first fundraiser is coming home next week in your scholar's Monday Mailer. We are selling Little Caesers pizza kits and your scholar personally earns 5-6 dollars on every kit that they sell. I have had students that have paid for their entire trip to camp through this fundraiser! Please understand that that is not the expectation. Although, I would advise spending a bit of time on this fundraiser as it will really help you out! This is not our only fundraiser for the year however, there are a few more out there that will also be helpful to you! We have finished adding and subtracting decimals and we are moving on to multiplying and dividing decimals. To start, I will just include the multiplying decimals videos to help you out! Multiplying decimals is just like the standard algorithm. Lining them up and then multiplying one digit at a time. The only thing that is different is the decimal point, which you are going to forget about until the end of the problem when you count the amount of spaces that you need to move the decimals point.
